Return Envelope?

Hi,
I am applying by Post, do I need to include a prepaid recorded return envelope for UKBA to return my original documents?

by default, they send by recorded delivery. if you want extra safety, send your returning special delivery envolpe

It is not a must to put in the special delivery envelope with your documents. UKBA are obliged to send the documents by first class, but like fellow member (ashehzi) said for extra safety you can do

highly advisable to send a SD envelope with your application

note down the tracking number & keep checking 20 times every day whether they have sent your approval letter or not.

when they do, you can spend a restless night till the documents reach you

here i am assuming that they send BRN in normal/recorded letter. it is just that SD is used on the last stage when returning original documents and passport(s). If they use your SD envolpe for BRN, that could mean you need to send two SD envolpes

acknowledgment & biometric letters are sent using 2nd class post, you could try sending SD envelopes for them too & tell UKBA to use those for ack/bio letters

the SD envelope you will send would be too big for ack/biometric letters, it is essentially same size you send your application in
