ILR- PEO Croydon Delay

Post by chweetgurl » Mon Mar 12, 2012 10:27 pm

I appled for ILR SET(M) on 7th March in person, I took my documents and support letter from my partner as he was unable to attend appointment.
I found change in process compared to my appointment 2 yrs ago.
After Biometrics my ticket number was called to a window number where all the applications along with documents were collected by one of staff member into individual folders and then I was asked to comeback after arrive 2 hrs later for my application to be processed. I did find that a bit odd because usually there is a case worker usually takes documents asks any questions for clarification then decide but this time none of that happened! I returned after 1.5 hr they called my ticket number to the window where all decisions were handed out then they me gave a letter along with my partner's passport stating my application has been sent for further enquiries and i need to wait. I queried as to what nature of enquiry and she mentioned my file is in london not in live location so will take longer... I tried to explain my nan is poorly hence i chose this service to get my passport and her manager/supervisor around told me off stating just because i applied in premium does not mean they would HAVE to issue visa. I mentioned that i expect a decision to be made same day but she was quite rude and turned me away.. I tried to contact a customer service and also i would have spoken 3-4 staff member all say same story withdraw application there will be no refund! This is really poor service of UKBA not only they were not ready with my file and they do not want to give timeline even though charging a whopping £450 difference from thier postal service.. Sorry about rant... but i am quite worried about the timeline as they are quite notorious in delaying ...Did anyone have similar experience as mine?

Hello, I'm also in the same situation. I applied for ILR on 29th feb, was waiting for almost 4 hours, and total of 6 hours from morning till they almost close. Husband and I had terrible headache for waiting so long, so the husband asked the enquiry desk how long its gonna be. Turns out they haven't added my application in the system! They told me to bring the application and give it to a case worker, and come back before 4pm, which we did, around 5, the case officer gave me a letter, saying that we didn't gave enough documents, but we did tho!, I gave 7 documents, spread for 2 years. And I told the case officer, I have a job interview within next week, I need something to hold on! He gave me a B/W copy of my biometric spouse visa which run out last week. I sent out all documents that he wanted, and after a week, nothing happened. I thought Premium service supposed to be fast?
What's the point of paying £1350 if the service is really bad??

:(

I just called UKBA, luckily the lady was really nice, and sympathise with me, and she said Premium service supposed to be one day service. Croydon really sucks... I shouldn't do it there.. I had complaint, but the complaint will take 20 working days to process... My goodness!!

If you post your timeline on www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=96401
We can start tracking timelines as people do on the Postal forum and probably use the unexplained delay for complaints as well!

Yes its such a rip off when they do not provide service what they are charging for in the first place.
I do strongly think they should have atleast a premium applicants dedicated line to track given that they charging astronomical amounts.
Fingers crossed for all of us waiting to hear ...Good luck

I didn't get any label, I got a letter from the case worker, saying I need to supply additional docs. I sent it to Croydon. And no, I still haven't heard from them! :(
