Zambian family visit visa rejected

Post by cakey » Thu Nov 09, 2006 12:38 pm

I am british by birth. I have tried to get my wifes sister a family visit visa to come and see her over Christmas but it was rejected for stacks of reasons... They say they do not think she is a genuine visitor for the purpose and time stated, They do not think she will be able to maintain and accomodate herself without recourse to employment and they do not think she intende to leave the Uk

This would be her fist visit. I am the sponsor but they say despite my wages of just under £2000 per month that as I was overdrawn by £9.98 last month I do not have enough money for her visit - (I also have a few hundred pounds of savings)

We are trying to lodge an appeal - is there any tips for stuff to put in the section on why we are appealing?

Dont appeal - it takes too long...

Re-apply addressing the issues/problems they have raised.

Your sister in law should have strong social , finacial and ecomic ties with Zambia to prove that she will go back after holiday
Where there is a will there is a way.

We can prove that no problems she is engaged in Zambia, lives with her fiance and goes back to school in July!

Is there a specific period in which she has to wait before re-applying?
Also I assume that would mean she needs to pay another fee? The current visa fee for visitors visa for Zambians keeps increasing its currently £60
