Can my wife apply for bc with me?

Post by zeeshanpervez » Sat Mar 24, 2012 7:58 pm

Dear all,

My wife came to uk 3 years back while i am here for over 5 years. we both got ILR in April 2011. I am applying for BC in April 2012. Can we make joint application for bc together OR my wife has to wait until I got my passport? Thanks in advance.

Regards

The safest thing you can do is apply alone and once you attend citizenship ceremony after getting approval then you can apply for your wife straightaway without any problem. If you apply together then your wife's application will be on HO discretion so it can get rejected.

Yes she can, as when you apply she will have been here for three years. Apply together but ask that your application is processed first.

But the lost post in the above link mentions that I cannot apply. I will ring HO today and try to find it.
