Official processing times for Tier 1

Post by afcdon83 » Mon Apr 02, 2012 4:00 pm

What are the general processing times for Tier 1. It says 75% within 4 weeks, but what about after that? Is it like 100% within 6 weeks or 100% within 6 months, does anyone know?

Take the chance. Make your wildest guess, hopefully you'll be right unless proven wrong.

There have been a few cases which have taken more than 6 months (almost upto a year, I read somewhere on this forum). Based on current timelines, a straigtfoward application takes between 2 to 2.5 months

To make it more confusing for you, a friend of mine had to wait 6 months for his T1 Extension applied via post, another one had it approved 6 weeks on dot and I had it in 25 mins (of course mine was PEO appointment) As Sam said, take a chance, chances of you winning are far better than National Lottery :)

This is a reply given on this forum by a a few users
"on 26th March they have moved the consideration from 5th to 10th and on 2nd April they have moved it from 10th to 12th"

Follow this post on this forum

Having said that, it may improve a bit after 10th April when more post offices would be able to gather biometric information
Goodluck
