Gap between employment and CSI.

Post by syzmon » Sun Nov 13, 2011 5:50 am

Hi,

I have worked in England for 4,5 years and now I am a student. I have a 12 day gap between the end of employment and the moment I obtained a CSI (comprehensive sickness insurance). Does it mean I may have a problem obtaining permanent residence?

Thanks

I assume you are an EEA citizen?

Were you looking for work in that period?

I doubt a 12 day gap will be held against you. If it is you should definitely appeal. It is not proportionate. They can not reasonably count days, and I think courts would find it illegal.

Great, that gives a little more detail than in the other post. Thanks.
