Current vignette: Tier 1 (General) with 1 Dependant
2. Date of expiry of current leave: 16th April 2012
3. Number of applicants: 2
4. Date application posted: 03 April 2012
5. Date application received at UKBA: 04 April 2012
6. Date payment debited: Still Waiting
7. Payment mode : Visa Debit Card
8. Acknowledgement letter received:Still Waiting
9. Biometric letter received: Still Waiting
10. Date of biometrics enrolment: Still Waiting
11. Date passport & documents received: Still Waiting
12. Date BRP received: Still Waiting

1) Just wondering if i will get the acknowledgement letter before my current leave expires to show it to employer and for renewing my Airport Airside Pass.

2)Can my wife (dependent )will be able to apply for the jobs on the basis of the acknowlegement letter & do employer give any new jobs on the basis of the letter.

Any idea ?

1. No one can tell you for sure if you will get it before the 16th. It all depends on how quickly the Home Office processes applications at your time of submission. Feel free to look at some of the sticky timeline threads to get an idea of estimated timescales.

2. I strongly doubt it. If your wife already has a job, that is one thing, but I don't think an employer will take the risk of hiring someone with the letter alone regardless of section 3c. I stand to be corrected on this.

2 No, acknowledgement letter does not guarantee a visa
An [Expensive] Immigrant journey has ended 19/08/2015. Good luck to you all out there...
