Post by SOM73 » Mon Apr 09, 2012 11:38 am

Hi All,
I have got UK tier2 visa (Intra company transfer) from India to UK. I will leave India in another 20 days.

Now I need dependant visa for my wife & my daughter, I have questions regarding maintenance of funds in bank account.

how much money I need to maintain in my (UK BANK )account for 3 months in order to apply for dependant visa.

She need to apply for Uk tier2 dependant visa only after 3 months ? Pl. clarify.

and how much my wife need to maintain in her account (Indian bank) for 3 months. and what about my kid (She is 1.5 years old and does not have any bank account in india ), presently my wife and my kid are in India.

Any one please help.

my family got visa today , I used following method

£533 x each dependant
+ £800 for myself

I enclosed maintenance letter for my family from the company as well , as a supporting document.

PLEASE CONSIDER WHEN YOU WANT TO APPLY:

because after 14 Jun 2012 , amount required as mainenance funds will be raised

You kid does not need to have a seperate account and amount for kids should be present in the same source which your wife will use.

I you logged application before 14 june 2012, for 2 dependants and yourself you need to show total £1866 remain in your bank account for 3 months.

No , you dont need to show in your home land as well if you maintain your account in UK.

I would say , go through policy guideline for dependants available at UKBA website (just google and find). and if you are planning to log the application after 14 june 2012, you will need to maintain new level of required amount for 3 months so plan now.

Regarding £1600 , I have discussed this many times over this forum there is cofusion but this week my family outside the UK got visa while I showed £533 per person and iI have been in the UK just 4 months .

I did call to UKBA helpline and they also told me £533 per dependant however i had to show extra £800 for myself as i am here for less than 12 months.

Hi All,
My Sponsor is a A rated sponsor, They are ready to give a maintenance fund Letter saying that they will take care of my dependents (wife) and My daughter till the end of first month of my Job.

Is this document is sufficient for maintenance fund for dependants ?. So there is no need to have 800+533+533 =1866 Pounds in my account ?

Pl. Advice.

Thank you All for your Advice.

make sure they have ticked the maintenacne option in SMS .

in this case , you dont need to show your own funds but it will make your application strong if you show some of balance regardless of amount and duration

in maintenance letter , use words like they will maintain and accommodate to you and your family (with passport details on the same letter)

Post by hari_nagendra » Mon Apr 16, 2012 8:41 pm

Hi Khurram,

I just came 2 months ago. Should I proceed with my dependent visa (ICT-tier2) if company is giving fund maintenance certificate.

Thanks & Regards,
Hari.

Hari,
See following link.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/si...ntspolicy1.pdf

48. The family member of the Tier 2 Migrant must have £533 to support himself/herself.
49. This requirement can be met by:
• having savings of £533 which must have been held for at least three months prior to the date of application; or
the Tier 2 A-rated sponsor providing a written undertaking that, should it become necessary, it will maintain and accommodate the family member for a month. The undertaking may be limited provided the limit is at least £533 per family member.

Thanks

TIER 2 DEPENDENT VISA -MAINTENANCE FUNDS

Post by arjit » Fri Oct 18, 2013 8:36 pm

HI,

I CAME TO UK ON TIER 2 (GENERAL MIGRANT VISA) IN APRIL 2013 AND I AM CURRENTLY LIVING IN UK. NOW I WISH TO BRING MY WIFE TO UK,AND SHE WOULD MAKE HER APPLICATION FROM INDIA.

HOWEVER I HAVE MAINTAINED THE MAINTENANCE FUND EQUIVALENT TO 2000 POUNDS I.E. 2LACS (CONVERSION RATE OF 100) IN MY INDIAN BANK ACCOUNT FOR MORE THAN 3 MONTHS, ALSO MY WIFE HAS BLOCKED AMOUNT EQUIVALENT TO 2000 POUNDS (2 LACS) SEPARATLY IN HER INDIAN SAVING BANK ACCOUNT.

WILL I BE FINE WITH THE MAINTENANCE FUND CLAUSE OR WAS I REQUIRED TO BLOCK THIS MONEY IN MY UK ACCOUNT?

PLEASE HELP.
