Hi guys, Just a question regarding Schengen visa.
I will like to apply for a visa for Germany short stay.
I am aware that if my wife is travelling with me I won’t be needing the visa but it’s a great pain to explain it to the checkin agents and some IO’s also.
I don’t have exact dates at the moment but we will be travelling in September and mid November 2012. could you please tell me being an EU spouse and having PR in the UK we will need to provide them with the plane tickets and also ferry bookings etc? also accomodation bookings etc?
Also if I apply it for now do you think my visa eligibility will start from this month or will the put the dates valid from sep-dec 2012?
Many thanks for your help again.

Have you checked the relevant page on the German Consulate website?

You may apply by post: If you are a spouse of an EU or German national
and
Please try to apply as early as possible, especially during the summer months and before public holidays. You may apply for a visa up to 12 weeks before you start your trip.
