We have received your fax and it has been put in the urgents folder.
Unfortunately it is still awaiting allocation to a caseworker. We
cannot not give you a timescale for when it will be done, as we get a high number of urgents everyday.
So many queues...so little patience !!

This queuing thing is so 'british'.....if five people on a footway/path decide to stand in a line/queue..everyone following behind will just join the queue
Where there is a will there is a way.

Chess,
At least I got confirmation that they received my fax and is in the urgents pack.
Do they usually inform you when it is allocated to a caseworker or shall i just keep bugging them every monday with an email.

I think that it is high time the HSMP team introduce a "premium" service for a higher fee.

tnavon,
That would just result in higher fees cause everyone would apply premium...you would probably still be stuck with the queue. If the HO could not scale up even after the huge revenue it is generating since the appl went paid...small chance it will scale up on increased fee.
ish_78,
My appl was received by HO on 2nd June

Rajan,
I was in UK in the month of march on a visitor's visa and attended some interviews. That is how i got this offer. The job offer is on a precondition that i have a work permit by 1st august which is the date of joining on my offer letter.
And you are correct, it is well nigh impossible to get a offer without WP and from outside the UK. This offer was also mainly due to contacts made by my husband who is studying in UK for the last 1 yr.

Thank you for your e-mail dated 22nd July 2004.
Your fax was received on 19th July 2004. Your application has not been
processed yet. You will be notified in writing as soon as your
application
is dealt with.
I hope this is helpful.

I hope this is helpful
In the 3 lines they've sent me tells me nothing. It also looks like a very standard tailor made response. He must be joking about being helpful !
To top that, the fax was sent on 16th by me. Now unless faxes have started taking 3 days to travel to UK it could'nt have been received on the 19th.

it seems that the helpdesk staff of HO is not bothered to check your details before mailing you. I remember one post by HAS2003 on 22nd where he was told that his case is still to be alloted to case worker and on 26th he posted that his EC was stuck. It means that his decision letter reached him somewhere on 24/25, then they might have posted it abt 5-7 days back i.e 16/18. So why did he receive a mail from them on 22nd that his application is still under processing ? It clearly proves their ignorance.
