ILR Success - Belfast - 03 April 2012

Post by indian234 » Tue Apr 03, 2012 11:14 pm

Set(O) application - Single Applicant

Reached PEO at 09:35 for 10:30 AM appointment.
I was told to come back again at 10:00 AM. So, I went to Forestside shopping centre for a while and returned back to PEO at 9:55 at which point I was allowed in.

There are only 3 people working today and it took a while before I was called for a ticket. Ticket was issued at 10:56AM. I was called to counter at 11:15AM and the rest finished in 45 mins. I got ILR approval for 10 years from today.

Belfast has the reputation of deciding applications in 38 mins (on average according to them). But, I dont complain as 2 hours is still ok compared to other PEO's.

Below are the list of documents I submitted

Payslips
Bank Statements (12 months)
Dividend Vouchers
Accountant Letter
Bank Statements (3 months - Maintenance funds)
SET(O) Application Form
2 Photos
LUK Certificate
Photocopies of all documents (except application form)

Hope this helps future applicants.
I would highly recommend Belfast PEO if anyone is contemplating to apply at Belfast PEO.

Hi

Lots and lots of heartiest congratulations on your great success after getting your ILR.

Thanks a lot for sharing your PEO experience on the forum.

The question I wanted to know is that I live in London and I am here on a WP so do you think will it be a better idea to book an appointment in Belfast PEO all the way from London ?

Did they ask you any questions regarding your P60's.

Many thanks and waiting for your reply.

Good luck for your future.

Hi,

I havent submitted P60's or business bank statements.

I have submitted only payslips, dividend vouchers, accountant letter and bank statements for earning points.

Having said that, it depends on individual situation. If you tick 11G under Dcouments section on page 39, you need to show 5 years economic activity.
But, if you tick 11L rather, then you dont need to prove 5 years economic activity. Hope this helps.

Hi indian234! thank you for sharing...

Do they take payment before or after consideration?
What about the absences? Is any of yours exceed 90/180?

Lady at the counter has gone through my application and she said everything looks fine. She then asked me to make a payment before she submitted to caseworker.

Once money is taken, it doesnt take long for biometric and decision making.

Having said that, there is another thing to consider.
My Tier1 visa expires on April 17th 2012. So, I thought I can apply on 22nd March (28 days before expiry) and applied on 22nd March. I have gone through all the process (doc, payment, biometric) and finally, caseworker came out and said I should calculate 5 years from date of entry rather than date of initial visa.

She suggested to reschedule the appointment with in Belfast PEO and they refunded my payment. So, I rescheduled it to April 3rd and got it approved finally. When I rescheduled it, I havent received any confirmation email or sms, but they had still let me on that day as my name is on their list of appointments. I dont know how many PEO's will be so politeful.

No, I havent exceeded any 90/180 rules. I am well within the limit.

regards,
indian234

This is very helpful Indian 234, I was struggling with my one year P60, since I was at that stage working as director of a limited company and had paid bare minimum salary to myself, although I eventually paid lot of taxes, so I was thinking of not showing any financial activity for that year.

@DEVONIAN - No, I got ILR based on Tier 1 General (5 years).

In my earlier post, I meant the visa is for 10 years...sorry for confusing you.
