It probably can cause negative impact though i might be wrong. Don't you a saving account instead?GautamPr wrote:Hi,
Can anyone please provide a good suggestion / advice for this situation with the maintenance funds?
1. My current Tier 1 General Visa Expires on 20th May-2012. ( I have an appointment for the premium service booked for 14/05/2012)
2. I have been maintaining a balance of over £900 in my account since 01/01/2012 onwards
3. On 19th March I noticed that my account balance had gone under £800 (to £791). Following this I made an electronic transfer from another account of mine to ensure that the balance of this account goes over £800.
4. Both entries (the one that took my balance under £800 and the one that took my balance over £800) are on the same date, i.e. 19/03/2012.
Can anyone please confirm if this will have a negative impact on my visa extension application or not? I have a very clean Immigration history and I fulfil all other criteria’s required by UKBA.
Many Thanks,
Prabhakar Gautam
If I were you, I would get the statement for that other account of yours and submit it along with the current account. Better safe than sorry!GautamPr wrote:Hi,

Yes I agree with vignezh, also you can write a cover letter to explain this. as both of these accounts belong to you it shouldn't be a problem, but make sure you explain it properly.vignezh wrote:If I were you, I would get the statement for that other account of yours and submit it along with the current account. why complicate your application by using overseas account, that too joint ?GautamPr wrote:Thank you everyone for your replies. I wasn't sure that I can use two seperate account to meet the maintenance fund requirement. If I use two accounts then I do certainly statisfy the criteria.
Plus thinking about it, I have a joint accout with my Father in India which I am sure has enough funds to cover me for the visa application.
Best wishes
