Tier 2 - What is the requirment

Post by riki321 » Sun Apr 22, 2012 8:18 pm

Hello everyone,

I am on PSW visa and expires on sep 2012. Can I switch to Tier 2 visa if I mange to find a permanent job before September.

what do I need to ask from my company in order for me apply for Tier 2.

Letter saying that I have been given a full time job would be enough ?

Please answer me because I am going to have few interviews next week so that I can discuss the options I have with the company ?

Thank you.

Just to elaborate on vinny's post, a few relevant questions to ask your prospective employer at the interview would be:

a) do they have a Tier 2 General sponsor licence?
b) if they do would they be willing to sponsor you by asigning a CoS (Certificate of Sponsorship) to you?
c) if a job is offered, would the salary be at least the minimum required for the particular SOC (Standard Occupational Classification) code?
