Applying for marriage visa this july, all help welcome!

Post by smiah » Mon Apr 23, 2012 6:49 pm

Hi all,

I stumbled upon this forum in my endless search for answers.

My fiance and I intend to marry this july and I wish to soon after apply for the marriage visa. As he is a British national he will visit India in july for the marriage and then later on if required for the visa process.

As a resident in Delhi, I will be taking the process forward.

We are very confused regarding what is the process and worried that with the high fees at stake if we get the application wrong we might not be able to afford another application anytime soon.

We would appreciate all your help in understanding the process :)

Love,
S&T

Hi Congrats on your wedding...... All teh very best for the wedding, wow July is going to be hot right?

I have recenlty got married in Gujarat and also applied for visa look at the topic - UK settlement Visa applied from India-2011 - it will give you some good information on what you need to supply etc, also you if you click on my profile and look at my posts you will see the list of documents I have provided. Also there is a couple who have recnelty gained there VISA's within that topic too - Harv, Lucy and there is another chap to which I cannot remember the name from the top of my head but they have also uploaded lists of what they provided.

But that topic will give you all the information you need. anything else let me know or ask in the forum.

Main thing is do not over think it.... The stress will get to you otherwise, just take your time and make sure your husband in the UK has all the right documents, also you may need to take a IELTS exam so look into the english requirments ASAP too.

It is pretty straight forward and easy, do not over think it

Keep us posted....
