british passport for a child born outside uk

hi my wife is expecting a child in june and will give birth outside the uk as that is where she is at the moment. my question is: can i apply for a british passport in uk for my child once she is born? or do i have to apply for a passport where she is born. i am a british citizen

It doesn't need to be in the country the child is born but it needs to be in the country the child is. You can't apply from the UK if the child is not present in the UK.

I assume you are BC other than by decent.
(EDIT: reading your other posts I see you are as you are naturalised BC).
