P60 attestation by accountant?

Post by golu » Thu Apr 26, 2012 9:40 pm

hi,
I am a limited company director and my accountant has issued me an E-P60 which is considered as good as the one we get from HMRC in most places for but for my visa extension I am advised to have an original.

Now I cant get an original or the employment history from the Hmrc for this year as my appointment is less than a month away, is it ok and normal for an accountant to attest copy of my E-P60 ?

Usually they expect the employer to attest the copy of E-p60 but in my case I am the employer myself.

Kindly advise.

You can get tax history letter from HMRC within a week or two.
Try calling the liverpool office number on the sticky.

My accountant has yet not supplied my P35 details and other details to NI, I called them up this morning but they dont have all details for me for this year...

So it seems I will need the attested E-p60

If your accountant is handling payroll for you, he/she is legally obliged to submit the payroll details (End of Year Accounts) to HMRC by 19th May.
surely they should have all the records about your salary details etc.
Just press him/her a bit more.
