90+ Days on same Business Trip

Post by jkdlondon » Mon Apr 23, 2012 3:51 pm

Hi,

i am going to apply for ILR next month @ croydon.
my question is, i was outside UK for 90+ days on a single trip out of my 10+ business trip.

do i need to make any special arrangements for this?

Thanks,

You need to take letter from your employer that your absence was for business reasons and you were paid in UK for that time, otherwise your application will be refused. (as UKBA is taking any single absence over 90 days very seriously).

Also if your total absences in 5 years are over 180 days, then you need to justify them with employer letter as well.

Yes, Total absences are 300+ days, and i am planning to create 2 different spreadsheet. 1 for personal holiday and 1 for business trips. is this sounds OK? personal holidays are less then 180.

Thanks,

Yes as long as you are able to prove any absences over 180 days were for business reasons. Also any single absence over 90 days will also need to be justified.

Business absense but self employed

Post by ITGraduate » Fri Apr 27, 2012 9:50 am

Please help seniors!!!

What if you are self employed ( working as a contractor for a third party company ) and you were out of UK on business . How to prove this?

Can we get the letter from the third party company for whom we worked outside UK? will this letter be accepted as a proof?

Thanks,
