When making an extension application, you cannot claim points for UK experience on basis of your UK qualification(s). Qualifications earned in UK can be used to gain 5 points, but for initial applications only. For an extension application, you can claim UK experience points only on basis of your income.priya_bhosale wrote:will I still be able to claim 5 points for UK experience based on my UK degree (earned in 2005) even if my UK earnings are under £16,000?
The ansewr is No you must at least proof that minimum of £16,000 is earned in the U.K any no specific document is needed for this apart from the proof of earning you've submitted..priya_bhosale wrote:Hello,
I am an extension applicant and i dont know if anyone is having this confusion:
My earnings are both from the UK and India (altogether £21,000) and I am claiming 20 points for those.
My masters degree is from the UK.
Now my question is:
Whether I would be able to claim 5 points for UK experience based on my UK degree alone or,
Do I have to earn at least £16,000 from the UK to claim the 5 points in spite of my masters degree being from the UK.
In simpler words, will I still be able to claim 5 points for UK experience based on my UK degree (earned in 2005) even if my UK earnings are under £16,000?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Priya
