P60, payslips and bank statements will be strong evidence for the monies your claiming for. Another supporting doc would be a letter from your company stating that you've earned so much y-t-d.kinjiru wrote:I am planning to show my UK earnings from Sept 05 - Sept 06 but some of my wage slips (3) are missing. I plan to use my tax return (P60) up to march this year plus Bank statements for the 12 month period.

For one, the rules state you cannot submit any of the other evidence (bank statements or letter from employee) unless you claim exceptional circumstances...
On the other hand, a section of the rules state if he tax return presented does not cover the full year claimed then extra evidence is required..
Which is somewhat contradictory..
Unless ofcourse it is okay to submit those extra evidence when you want to support the two primary ones requested (tax return or wage slips) as you seem to agree with below
Anyone else has views on this? thanx
Yes umesh, this is what I mean. Extra evidence is needed if the tax year does not cover the full year claimed, as the rules states. So one would assume they mean that your bank statements are needed.what i seem to make of this is that if yr 12 month period is not exactly overlapped by tax yr ONLY then can u submit bank statements to cover then non covered months specifically + other months as well.
