how did you calculate your continuous period

Hi All,

For those who went for can you please help me how did you calculate your continuous period. Is it from date of entry Clearance as long as you entered within 90days or date you entered in UK? It would be a great help. I read in another thread that case worker in Belfast told applicant it is counted from date of entry and refunded the fee and he made another application later?

Applications that fall short of the five year continuous period
In some cases, applicants may have been granted five years continuous leave, but due to
delayed travel will not have spent five years continuously in the UK before their current leave
expires. Caseworkers may count the period between entry clearance being granted and the
date the applicant entered the UK towards the five years, provided this period was not
longer than three months.

rneeta: I and another friend of mine applied on 24th Apr and we both applied 28 days before the 5th anniversary of our entry clearance dates. You can also do it as long as you entered within 90 days of getting EC.
