can i change Payment mode now after sending the application

Post by soundlessecho » Mon Apr 30, 2012 12:56 pm

Hello,

I had sent my Tier1 application on April24th 2012 to UK border agency by post. The payment mode i choosed in the application form was Visa debit card. The amount hasn't been debitted from my account yet.

My visa expiry date May 6th 2012. so i am worried if Home office delays to debit the payment till May 6th.

Is there anyway for me change the payment mode to "postal oder" from "Visa Debit card" since my complete application is with Home office now.

Thanks

Don't worry about the expiration of your VISA.
Even if payment is debited after your VISA expiry, it is not an issue.

You will continue to be on Tier 1 till the time you get a decision.
Just ensure that your bank doesn't stop the payment getting through.

Hi Mantasingh,

Many thanks for the response.
The bank that issued the debit card might be considering to block the debit card due to suspicious transcations.
However i have advised the Bank to not block the card yet.
To be 100% certain about my payment to UKBA, is there any chance for me to change the payment mode to Postal order instead of debit card?

Thanks

No chance now.
The only way to change the payment mode is to withdraw the application, which may take 20 working days and then apply again.

By the time your application reach you, your current VISA would have expired and you would loose the chance to apply again.

So just wait and ensure that your bank doesn't block this transation.

Manta Singh,
Many thanks for the reply. I would not like to withdraw my application.

But we cant we inform the home office about the change on payment mode to be used using the "Change of circumstances" form?
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... umstances/
Even though in the form there is no mention for change of payment mode but can i include the details in "other" section and send the completed change of circustances form along with the Payoder?
i look forward for your reply
Thanks in advance...
