Is new Tier 1 process closed?

Post by szavelin » Tue May 01, 2012 9:21 am

Hello my tier 1 is about to expire and I don't have enough time to extend..

Can I apply for a new Tier 1 visa now or is this visa category now closed? I see that the fee is 1500 but at the same time there is a conflicting information I saw that this category is closed..? Is there another visa category?

Thanks

Well if mine expired, does this make me a new applicant or what?

Why don't you extend?

What is the meaning of "I don't have enough time to extend"?

Because I am in Europe right now. To extend I have to get into London before the end of this week. I have to get tax forms and letter from work (in the US) sent over to me + get banks to do the statements and have them sent over to me (again from the US) all in a matter of few days.

So no way to file a new application Tier 1 now?

It is still not clear why U r trying for new application instead of extention. U need the same type of documents whether u extend or apply for new one. Though time matters.

I technically might be able to get tax copy, employer/earnings letter, and bank statement overnighted to UK and fly to London and file before end of this week.. Just noticed my maintenance dipped by 50 dollars for 2 days. I have money in stocks but that's not admissible. Am I out of luck or can I submit some type of explanation?

I would seriously suggest you take a proffessional advice with your application rather than do it yourself. Maintaince fund could be a problem in your case as UKBA takes it very seriously. Good luck with your application.
