Tier 1 to EEA2 - right to work?

Hi guys,
I'm Non-eea married to a EU National and currently on Tier 1 (initial) visa expiring in June 2012. I'm applying for family permit EEA2 in couple of weeks and I wanted to ask if I can continue to work beyond my Tier 1 expiry until I wait for a COA?

I'm kind of worried that I have to update my office about my visa status soon and I won't have anything until I hear back from HO with a COA.

You can continue to work. Your marriage confirms your rights under EU law. The application for a residence card is merely a confirmation of those rights. You'll get to permanent residence quicker if you stay within UK immigration rules but perhaps that is something you have already considered.

This is such a relief. Yes, I know I would get PR sooner if I stay under Tier 1 but to be honest not too fussed about getting a PR. We travel a lot so RC will allow me to travel with my wife freely (without applying for a visa every time)

I think I just need to make sure my office is aware of the EU law in this case.

If you don't get the CoA on time and your employer insist on proof, this might help - Proof of delivery.
