confused whether I am still eligible for canadian skilled im

Post by SIAHMED » Wed Apr 18, 2012 9:27 am

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and I am interested in applying for skilled worker canadian immigration program. below are my details

Education: MSc degree from sheffield Hallam University, UK
Experience: 6 Years of professional experience in Mechanical engineering, currently working in Saudia arab
IELTS: due to write the exam by 1'st week of May

I had gone through the points calculator system on cic.gc.ca website and I am qualifying for skilled immigration category under NOC code 7301. I had a look at all the ares of the website but couldn't find whether the 500 limit that is in-place until June 2012 is already filled up or not.

Could you please help in this regard & whether it would still be OK if I apply after getting IELTS results?
after June 2012, will the new 500 limit quota starts?
is it recommendable to apply after June 2012, because by the time I get my IELTS results it will be mid of June

Many thanks in advance

I guess you will have to wait as they have reached the cap for last year.

CIC will begin a new FSW cap-counting period on July 1, 2012

Check the following notice:
