Dear All,
I ready for my Tier-1 Ext application. I was waiting on my bank statement to arrive which didn't but Bank manager being very helpful gave me statement stamped and signed. He printed himself and stamped them but for some reason he could see transactions only till 2nd May 2012. I am going in person on 14th May Monday.
Do you think statement till 2nd May would be enough to show maintainance fund? I am taking statements from 1st April 2011 to 2nd May 2012 to cover my salary + maintainance funds and offcourse salary slips.
What you all think about it ?
Thank you.

Yes bank statements less than 28 days old are acceptable. When you say the bank manager signed and stamped it, does the signed statement have the bank logo?

He stamped with official stamp and he stamped true copy saying this is certified true copy and signed that.
Hope this works

nkanalyst, from what you've mentioned, I'd say the statement you have falls under the "Ad hoc bank statements category" which I've highlighted from the guidance below. Unlike for online/electronic statements, for this they appear to expect Adhoc statements to be printed on the bank’s letterhead/stationery. Is this what you've got?
i) Personal bank or building society statements covering a consecutive 90 day period: The most recent statement must be dated no more than one calendar month before the date of application. The personal bank or building society statements should clearly show:
• the applicant’s name;
• the account number;
• the date of the statement;
• the financial institution’s name and logo;
• any transactions during the 90 day period;
• that there are enough funds present in the account (the balance must always be at least £800) covering the 90 day period before the date of application;
All statements must be on the bank’s stationery, unless the applicant is submitting electronic statements.
Ad hoc bank statements printed on the bank’s letterhead/stationery are admissible as evidence (this excludes mini-statements from cash points).
If the applicant wishes to submit electronic bank statements from an online account these must contain all of the details listed above.
In addition, the applicant will need to provide either:
• a supporting letter from his/her bank, on company headed paper, confi rming the authenticity of the statements; or
• an electronic bank statement bearing the official stamp of the bank in question will be accepted. This stamp should appear on every page of the statement.
All statements must be on the bank’s letterhead/official stationery.

I understand it is Ad Hoc statement, printed on Bank stationary for sure..as he printed them off as it has got their reference number + date etc. So I don't think that should be problem..am in panic mode..really stressing. Logo and all needed if it's original statement isn;t it..that;s what that rule says.

I know..this is so stressful, I don't think I will be able to sleep properly now ! I am going to bank tomorrow and will ask them to print on letter head if they can or else I will print out from internet banking and will get that stamped and signed. Do you think it's sensible idea to keep both with me ?

You are exceeding the 12 month period. 1st April 2011 to 31st march 2012 for salary and which 3 months for the maintenance funds?
Consider Feb/mar/April till the month end of april 2012 and it should be fine

Thanks Aditya for reply.
1. For 12 months salary - April 2011 - March 2012
2. For maintenance - Feb12, Mar12, Apr12.
I am waiting for Full April months statement. Hence I am worried. My printed April month shows http:// link although they printed by bank manager and he has stamped signed each page + each page carry another stamp showing 'I certify this is true copy' his name sign staff number and date...
What would u suggest pls?

When does your April bank statement come via post? If your printed/ online statemet shows your name/account no. and bank logo its fine.
All you need is sign and stamp. To be honest I dont know whether any banks sign and stamp bank statements. From your above posts if the bank has certified, then i think its fine
