Englishman getting married in Tunisia

Post by Englishmanintunis » Sun May 13, 2012 5:22 pm

Hi all,

I have a question. I am a British citizen, living and working in Tunisia with a Work Permit. I am divorced and getting married quite soon to a Tunisian lady and after we get married, we want to re-locate back to the UK to live and work. What kind of a visa would my future wife need? Would it make things easier if we were to get married in the UK as well as in Tunisia?

Thanks for your assistance and regards from Richard

1. Husband, wife or civil partner of a British citizen or settled person
2. No. As long as Tunisian domestic law(s) recognises your marriage, UK law(s) also will.
