MBBS degree: I can get exemption for English Language?

Hello dear members,

I am a Doctor by profession and got MBBS degree from Pakistan.
I am applying for Tier 1 Ent Visa and need to clear two points.

I got my degree from Liaquat Medical College, Jamshoro in 1992. But in 2006 the status of this medical college had been upgraded to University and its known as Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences.

If i choose the above mentioned University, UKBA assessment calculator awards me 10 points for English.

I have also got a letter from this University saying that medium of instruction is english.

Would i'll be awarded points, as my degree was awarded the time this University's status was a "Medical College" ??

I'll be more than thankful if you can suggest on this matter.

It's the type and validity of the degree that matters rather than whether or not it comes from a university or medical college.

Any degree which is deemed equivalent by UK NARIC to any UK Bachelor Degree or above, is accepted to score 10 points for English Language.
If point calculator on UKBA site shows the score of points, it is advisable to take a print out of the same attach with the Degree when submitting application
