passport for a new born in Pakistan

Post by accablues » Thu May 31, 2012 10:35 am

Dear all, I am a British national and as I understand my baby will also be eligible for a passport wherever he/she is born (correct??)

Now a days trying to get information if my baby is born in Pak what are the prerequisites. Can anyone share their experience if they applied for a new born passport from Pakistan (Isb/Khi/Lhr)

I have been trying to get hold of BE in Pak but no luck - its been over two months but no reply to email as well. baby is due in Aug and I want to know what problems should I expect !!

I have gone through the forms and website which kindly administrator and other Gurus provided in my earlier post - but with someones FIRST HAND experience it will be far more helpfull.

Also a major point which I want to check - on the form it says the PARENTS ORIGINAL PASSPORT NEEDS TO BE SUBMITTED and the application can take up to 6 months. Does this mean they will hold the passport for 6 months - which will not be possible for me as I work in Kuw and my wife is in Pak

just to avoid any confusion me and my wife are not seprated - unfortunately the Kuw govt has placed a ban on visas for 5 nationalities - Pak being one of them.

any help will be much appreciated

thanks and best regards
