SET F - Elderly Parents - Cover Representation Letter Sample

Post by kuruvi » Thu May 31, 2012 5:41 pm

Dear Members,

I would like to apply for settlement visa for my parents in UK. I am looking for a sample cover/Representation letter.

I have paid £500 to a Lawyer but he has disappeared now. And he looks like a scam. I am glad that I didn't give him too much of my personal details like passport copy. It was a mistake.

I would be grateful if anyone of you could provide me with a sample cover letter.

Thank you

Your parent's situation is unique to them so there is no sample letter for a unique situation so I am surprised that you think you might find one. Furthermore, you should really think long and hard before you stumble into this without proper assistance and advice, as if they don't qualify and nothing significant has changed about their circumstances while they have been visiting the UK, their application will be refused and they will be removed and they will not get another visit visa. Good luck.

Thank you for the reply and advise. I do have concern and thought about it many times and that's why went to the Lawyer who registered with OISC at highest level but didn't work very well.

My parents have been visiting me many times but situation has changed and my father is having eye surgery next week. The consultant doctor told me that he may require further surgery within 3 months. It is a private treatment in NHS and I am paying for it.

I do understand every case is different. I am asking a sample to see what it should contain for example how to address. I can fill the rest and explain it.

Thanks

The letter should contain the details that are relevant to their circumstances; would you like us to guess those? If you manage to find a letter from an application in this category I seriously doubt it will match their situation.

They can't settle in the UK unless they living in extreme compassionate circumstances. Generally, if they have qualified for a visit visas, then they should not qualify for settlement as the requirements for each are diametrically opposed. Nor should they be applying from inside the UK unless there has been a massive change in their life during the actual visit. I think you are making a pig's ear of this if you intend to go it alone without proper consideration and advice.

Thanks again for the advise and warnings. The advisors, whom I spoke, said they can apply but I suspect they are after the money and may not care about the outcome.

I really appreciate your help.
