Hello everyone, This is my first ever post in this forum, and i would highly appreciate if you could help me out and give advice.
I am a EEA national ( german ) whereas my partner is a non-eea member.
My partner and me started a relationship in October, 2009.
He moved in with me in October 2011 and since then we started to live together. The problem is, the tenancy agreements and all bills have been under my name. Till now, there is nothing to prove that we have been living at the same address. Had I done something like a joint bank account or change a bill under his name, early in October 2011, I would not be in such a position and I would have had no problem in making a application in October 2013, which could show the sufficient evidence for having a durable relationship for " 2 years ".
Now, I know some would say, why not start collecting the evidence from now?
The problem is, he is currently on a post study work visa, which expires in December 2013. So even if i start collecting my evidence from now on, this would only show a durable relationship of 1 yr and 6 months.
It's frustrating that we have been in a intimate relationship nearly 3 years, with a definite intention to get married, yet we have to prove evidence of living together at the same address, which we have, but no proof ?
Reading several other articles, I am able to collect witness evidence from friends and family members about our relationship. I'm also able to provide photographs and personal statements, but would these alone with my 1 yr and 6 months proof of address, be adequate for a successful application for a EEA FAMILY PERMIT.
Please help
. Would absolutely appreciate and respect your help and advice.
