Immi. App. from Saudi Arabia and then relocation to Pakistan

Post by hunter2k » Sun Dec 10, 2006 10:44 pm

Situation:
1. Currently working in Saudi Arabia (KSA) for last 5 years.
2. Want to send my Canadian immigration application to London immigration office.
3. Will quit my job and move back to Pakistan in few months.
4. Idea of sending my Canadian immigration application to London immigration office is that London office has lesser processing time than Islamabad (Pakistan) office.

Questions:
1. Is it fine to do the above?
2. Is London office processing time less than Islamabad office?
3. How long does it take to get AOR from London office (I will make arrangements of another mailing address in case AOR arrived after I leave Saudi Arabia)?
4. Where am I going to be interviewed in the above situation?

Hello fellow Hunter,

London processing times are definitely less then that of Islamabad, not only for British applicants who are processed faster, but also for Middle East applicants who may need to use London.

As long as you were lawfully admitted and resident in Saudi Arabia at the time of the application, you can go ahead and submit in London.

The only drawback I can think of is if you are for some reason or another called for an interview to London and can not get he visa ( to UK) then you will miss the interview and substantial delays will result as you seek the transfer to Islamabad.

Remember, interviews are no longer the norm, they are exceptional, but do happen.

So as long as you are confident that ou can get a UK visitors visa ( even at short notice) or are willing to take the chance of no interview ( about 90% in your favour) then go ahead and apply.
