since you said that your degree is not recognized you won't get any points for it. You did not mention your age... If its under 28 you get 5 points and for 5 years specialist experience you should get 50 points, your wifes income is not important, if she is a graduate or can show graduate level work experience you can get 10 more points. The awards what you showed are not national level so I don't think you will score any points for it. So if you are less than 28 years age you get 65 points maximum. So far min points is 65 so this is right time for you to apply.

I suggest you to apply on behalf of your spouse if she hold a recognized degree alongwith appropriate income and experience.

As far as your case concerned, you are above 28 and with no recognize degree and the things you mentioned about achievement wont help you score points for that section as HO only consider very high level ach. which is like getting some awards from President or country level awards etc etc. Otherwise some academic or professional award which is been given in your peer. So be careful when you score for yourself. You can surely come up with whatever you think you are scoring and put it here and we all can figure out where is the weak point.

Hope this help.

Afzal

jaguar you are 29 ....pardon me I did not read your post properly. If you are 29, then afzal is right your application wont be successfull, but your wife can apply.

english proficiency ! your english seems to be good, so why you are worried about it. Even if your degree is not recognised you can show that your medium of study was english that itself is a big proof. language reason was never a cause for rejection at HO, but I have seem some post where the reason for rejection of EC was "english proficiency". I remember there was a post by KAYALAMI who said that you can give some exam for prooving your proficiency. It was somewhere in june I guess. You may want to search the post of kalayami in june.

U welcome Jaguar.

Well forget about anything else then scoring points in each section. Lets come up with yours or your wife's points you feel scored in each section and then perhaps we can come with suggestions. If you or your wife are scoring atleast 65 points without any dependancies like achievement then I recommend to put your case otherwise it won't be a case. I also suggest you if you are already in UK then you must be earning GBP so why not have consultants like workpermit.com (I m not their agent) as they can surely give you an assesment before you put up your case and they or there are others who do it (assesment) for free. Also these type of consultants do your case on NO WIN NO FEE basis. So be on safe side.

You are not required to give any TOEFL or IELTS but need to give a letter from your educational institutes that the language of institution was English.

Now What I expect from you is;

Sections : Points
Education : X points
Experience : X points
Earnings : X points
Achievment : X points
Partner : X points

Remove these X and put points for you and your wife you think you scoring and also mention the evidence you have for these. Then we can conclude what shud u do.
Regards,
Afzal
