Urgent info about EC

Dear all,
I am working in UAE on residence Visa. I applied for HSMP from UAE. I am waiting for those papers. I would like to go back to India (My home country). I want to know If I get HSMP, Can I have EC clerance from my home country (India). Please give me reply on urgent basis.

recently there was a similar case like you, he enquired with the HO and they said it is posible. You can ask HO to post the decision letter to your newly changed address. Fax them a small letter quoting your request and reason. You can definately get EC from india.

Yes, just send them new address ..

But, - if one arranged the reception of documents in the "old" (where he applied from) country. He could ask his friends to receive it and UPS to his "home" country.

Can he initiate EC in the "home" country ?

( That might be confusing why he can't just ask HO to send response to the "home" country. The reason is - postal service is much more stable and reliable in the "old" country)
