Also does anyone know the collection times for AHM are, and when it changes to that status, do you know how long it takes to "ready for collection" is it pretty much next day?

We did actually do the premium service lounge but we told the guy we would rather come and pick it up, so no courier service..... I thought thsi way it would be quicker, was worried if i done courier might take longer to get to us. So do you think we will get ready for collection in morning?

If he is travelling to India he will be fine of course, but anywhere else he needs a visa (£35 it costs I think), I think one for surope is called - Schengen Visa, dont quote me on that, but I know for a fact to travel in europe, and 99% of countries you will need a visa
Hi M,
I agree with Paras here, if you are planning to go outside UK then you will need a visa. The Schengen visa costs vary for different countries, I am not sure about other countries but as your husband will be an Indian Citizen so he will need visa to travel to any other countries. (more info on Schengen visa is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_polic ... pean_Union

Hi M1234,

There is one way you can avoid paying the VISA fee or pay less fees? to visit Europe. I think, it is France, that issues Schengen visa for less or free. Once there, you can travel the rest of Europe. You might want to double check that information.

Pazz,

I am extremely happy to hear that the decision has been taken and I pray that the visa is granted for your wife and that you two can reunite very soon!

All,

It is very upsetting to hear of the new changes that the UK government are bringing in. I just thought I would share two articles with you that showcases how brutal these new rules really are!

http://www.freemovement.org.uk/2012/06/ ... ights-law/

http://www.freemovement.org.uk/2012/06/ ... -marrying/

I follow that blog very closely, and there is another organization called No Borders...and it would be great if you wanted to volunteer your time for them and create awareness locally for those of you who are already in UK, and want to protest!

On a different note, do you think that ECO's check facebook information or for that matter, even this forum?! Something tells me they do check facebook!

All the best everyone.
