I'm a bit confused. On the UKBA website (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... intenance/) it lists
"The following types of documents are acceptable as evidence:
personal bank or building society statements; and/or
building society pass books; and/or
letters from banks or building societies confirming funds; and/or
letters from financial institutions regulated by the Financial Services Authority (or the home regulator, if the account is overseas) confirming funds."
On the paper application itself, it reads (Section 11, top of page 17):
"Evidence of your finances. Bank statements, building society savings books, pay slips or other formal
documents as evidence of your and your partner’s ability to maintain and accommodate yourselves and any
dependants without recourse to public funds."
My question is, can we use just my husband's payslips as he earns more than enough to cover us both, and is paid monthly - because the application suggests that payslips are fine. But the website suggests otherwise. I also receive monthly help from my family until I land a job, and have bank statements from them showing such.
Anyone have experience with just using payslips from the spouse/sponsor? The only reason I ask is I'm keen to get this in the mail, and there are no bank branches near us for his bank account so we'd have to wait for the weekend for him to drive out to one. Which of course is worth it, if we need to. But I wanted to check first.
Cheers.
