new baby visa inside the UK?

Post by electrical » Mon Jun 18, 2012 1:42 pm

Could you please guide us UK new born baby visa for Indian Parents.

My child is just one and half months old (DOB April 2012) now. He was born after my ILR visa (Dec 2011) and My wife holding Spouse visa.

Today I went to PEO office to apply ILR visa (SET F application) for my baby and applied us father ILR dependant. PEO officer told us not eligible for ILR visa for new born baby. She told me your baby is British born.

I spoken to Immigration officer (Customer service), regarding ILR visa for new born baby . She suggests to apply along with your wife ( my wife ILR eligible this dec 2012)

But we planned to travel next month to India, What type of visa can I apply from inside the UK?

I am bit confused ,
Q1. whether he is eligible for British citizenship ? (if eligible means what type of application form I can use?)
Q2. If not please suggest us type of visa can apply inside the UK?

Q3. Can we apply UK visa from India for new UK born baby? Type of visa Spouse dependant visa or ?

Can someone provide me details / links for the below:

Please help with the requested details. It will help me taking a final decision to which options to go for.

Child is British and may apply for a CoE-RoA.

there is no need to 'register the child' (other than register the birth which presumably has already been done as the child is a month and half old). the child is automatically British by birth.
