Urgent Help Regarding earnings for Tier 1 extension 21st Jun

Post by pelican2016 » Mon Jun 18, 2012 9:36 pm

Hi Gurus,

I have my appointment on 21st June 2012 for visa extension. I was just going through my final checklist and got confused at my earnings section after reading some of the threads in the forum.

As I work most of the time away from home location my company pay's me site support income and it reflects in the payslip. Also tax is deducted on that amount and the total net pay is deposited in my bank account.

My question is If I submit the payslip's(only 9 months ) as one of the proofs will the CW consider this extra payment of site support as part of earnings or is it better to just submit P60(I don't want to as it will give me extra points which are not needed for my approval) and bank statement to avoid the confusion? I can’t get the employment letter now as it is too late to order.

Thank you

1) If what you state as "site support income" is part of your taxable income, & appears in both sources of proof (payslips & bank statements) that you are supplying to support your application, then the CW will consider it (unless you include a cover letter explicitly stating they exclude it). And I don't see a problem in it being considered as such.
2) There is no rule to stop you from showing more previous earnings than required to earn the points required. So theres nothing to worry about on that count either. I.e. if you are providing your P60. One of the key points to consider if providing a P60 is that it covers the correct period (12 consecutive months) within the 15 months prior to your application.

Hi
I have somehow the same question. We have flexible holidays in company that we can sell or buy 5 days leave. I have sold 5 days of mine and I am receiving about $50 every month. This is shown in my payslips as "Flex Holiday sell" and it comes below my salary and it is in my total gross salary and I pay tax on it. Can I also consider this as my previous income?

21/06/2012

I got mine and 1 dependants Tier 1 general extension visa application approved Thursday at the Solihul PEO.

My appointment was at 9:30 am. Timeline below:

9:30 - reached Solihull PEO and done by security check.
9.35 - allowed in to the waiting area
9:50 - Got the token. There was a delay in processing as they got some very complicated cases which delayed most of the cases further.
10:50 - called by a caseworker. Verified all the documents. Crossed checked payslips and bank statements.
10:55 - said the magic words my application is approved and she will take some time to enter all details. She said to pay the fee at the counter and go for biometric.
11:00 - Paid Fee and waited for Biometrics.
11:30 - Biometrics done. The lady said to come back after 90 min or 2 hrs.
11:40 - went out for lunch.
12:40 - Got the approval letter along with all my documents and told my BRP will arrive within 7 workings days.
12:45 - Thanked and left happily......

now waiting for the BRP.

My case was straight forward but with some confusion about payslip's. I submitted 9 months’ payslips and bank statements and in my case CW didn't asked anything about extra payments (OT, holiday allowances and site support). She just crossed checked net value in bank statements and payslips. We were surprised when the CW said application is approved in 5min but she didn’t informed for how many years it is extended(expecting it to be 3 years fingers crossed).
