As per their new update regarding processing times : "We will be processing applications in strict date order of receipt and attendance of your biometric appointment."
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... tingtimes/

What does this mean? This sounds like they are now going to send the documents within a month of Biometrics.... In that case I have 3 more weeks to wait

This is weird. I like many others applied a week after you in April. And we are yet to receive invitation for biometric.

I know this is a totally different case than most of you guys who have done their biometrics, but since our blog "biometric invitation letter not received" has been locked (I dont know why) I'd like people who havent received the bio invitation please give a timeline.

Yeah I don't know why it has been locked! Looks like no one is on our side!! I have sent a message to the admin to who locked it to unlock it. Perhaps you could do the same. Our topic is not the same as the processing time topic, so please unlock it!!!

Only postive I can see is that by the time we are done with our biometrics the applications pending with the UKBA will have gone down and we will not have to face a two month wait for the visa after the biometrics, it might come sooner. But who knows...

Hi Guys, this topic has been locked down not sure why???

Anyways just an update, Today I received an email from UKBA Northeast Yorkshire and Humber Region acknowledging my complaint made on the 12/06/2012 giving me a reference number. The complaint was about not receiving biometric invitation letter. Application made on the 4th April, Ack recd on the 14th of May dated 9th of May and since then nothing.....

They have said will resolve this within the next 20 working days, guess just a standard system generated letter.

Info on bio invitation

Post by Neighbour » Thu Jun 21, 2012 5:41 pm

If you have not received biometric invitation letter and it is over one month you applied, you need to contact UKBA because is only after you give biometrics that they will start considering your apllication.

If u want to call them, 08706067766 is the no. Just follow the instructions then press 4 which is general enquire & then press 1 which is specially for bio-metric letter. You will have to wait for 10-15 mins but someone will definitely answer. Try to call them around 3 PM.

Lastly, I'll recommend you to call from BT landline because 08--------- no is free of charge, So u can hang in there. If u want to call from ur mobile, u may be paying some additional charges!!

Good Luck!!

We know about that, have called the UKBA several times. They say our application is not on their system. There is nothing we can do but wait.

@ Shreyasx01 - I can give you a better option to get you out of stress and worry if you can write to me a PM (private message)
