Post by ferryman » Wed Jun 20, 2012 10:06 pm

hi i have been married now for two and half years my wife lives in the philippines.we have nearly all the documents proof of four visits from me to her country.photos and also her ielts test.i am in the process of self employment with 3 months to go.eaning £250.00 per week which would be by the present rules of £105.95 after rent and council tax and loans be adequate to get her settlement visa.please help i simply dont understand extra i need to earn to get her visa or indeed if the £18600 affects me.or if it is joint wages for ilr.so confused.please help as we have put so much work and money into getting her visa.to have our hopes dashed for the sake of three months is too cruel for words.please help clarify this situation.thanks

If you are ready, apply before July 9 - even if you don't have all the paperwork immediately to hand. If you are refused you can appeal if the evidence that was missing from the original application existed but was not provided. You can't appeal if the evidence that was missing did not exist but has subsequently been garnered.

By the way the current weekly income level after rent/council tax/loan repayments have been deducted is now £111.45 for a couple without children.

thanks so much for your help i have all other documentation.but my problem is it seems they need 26 weeks of wage packets or proof of earnings but i only currently have 12 weeks wage packets although i could have a letter from my accountant forecasting my earnings. would this be enough for the application.please advise thanks.

Three months of bank statements and payslips will be okay.
