Hi all,
Thanks every one for their inputs and advice which greatly helped me. Sharing my experience and hope this helps someone out there.
Instead of sharing the standard procedural experience at the PEO office let me put across points especially relating Tier 2 - which was of great concern to me.
1) Employment Letter : Your current employer had to mention these key items : "Required for forseeable future", "SOC code" and "Salary is above the standard rates" - and offcourse the other standard things like your full name, emp no. etc etc.
- I had trouble in getting this letter (see my earlier posts) my employer was reluctant give me a letter with foreseeable future but I somehow convinced him to provide me as per the template in sticky section.
Let me tell you CW checked that letter front to back several times.
2) If you were employed with multiple employers in the past : Get the employment certificate from each of the employer clearly stating start and end dates.
3) P60's : Its nice to have doc, and will leave no ambiguity in the minds of CW on your employment.
3) Other Travel docs : Take all your previous WP, extension letters for both yourself and your dependants.
(in my case I had lost one of the extension letters, but thankfully got a copy of it from my employer)
3) Payslips : I had submitted last 6 months of payslips - I get my payslips in pdf format via mail every month on the company letter head.
Note: I had NOT got these stamped and the CW did not ask for it, but would advice to get it stamped if time permitting and to relive yourself of that last minute tension and surprise.
4) Bank statements : I had shown 6 months of bank statements.
5) Co-hab doc : I had taken these - NHS registration letter, Bank statements for last 3 yrs.
6) Be honest and precise on the dates you were out of UK. He was checking on this very closely.
7) Payments : I used my chip and pin Visa debit card - had called up my bank several times to confirm there is no limit on the card.
Now the standard :
Had my appointment at 12:15 but reached there at 11:00 and to my surprise they let me go through and in the next 30 -35 mins - security check (airport style check), initial application check, payment and biometrics and then from 11: 40 onwards until 1:45 I had to wait for my turn to be called. The case worked scanned through the my documents and some general questions relating to my employment, absence from UK (I was out for 80 days in total for 5 yrs and the longest being for 40 days in one stretch) - and then he asked me to comeback after 1hr and by 3 o clock everything was done.
Thanks and all the best.
