New HSMP rules - Degree certificates and Transcripts

Post by bmd » Tue Dec 19, 2006 9:41 am

Hi,
Does any one know if only the originals need to be sent with the application, under the new rules, or can notarized copies be sent too?

Hi bmd,

If you have the originals, but do not want to send it for the fear of loosing the originals in transit; in that case, you would need to send the "ORIGINALS" only, if you have lost your originals and have the Notarised copy of the certificates and transcript then you can claim the exceptional circumstances like war, theft etc.

Thanks,
Correct me if am wrong, but that is one of the more significant differences under the new rules - I think previously you were able to submit notarized copies.

Hi BMD,

The rules regarding the evidence to be submitted have not changed. HSMP team needed orginals in both previous and new systems. As has been mentioned already, the only exception to this is a situation when you are unable to submit originals following a big reason such as a war or natural calamity.

Hope this clarifies.

Regards.

paramjit or others,
Do you need to submit the marksheet as well? I am thinking of submitting only my degree certificate. coz my university has lost all my marks cards and has issued me duplicate set of marksheets but with a seal called dupicate on them. I dont want that to be of a problem if I submit it.
What do you guys suggest?
cheers,
Mogan

Hi Moganlal,

You can submit, only the degree certificate; no need to submit the transcripts for your degree.
