Letter from University in India- making life difficult

Post by laxani » Thu Dec 21, 2006 9:11 pm

Hi guys,
I had a very tough time to get the letter from my University. In the end the letter from my University goes like this:

To whom it may concern

Certified that the medium of instruction for the ........... course of study under this University is English

reference: Name
Address

sg
Assistant registrar

Do you guys think this is good enough? I have also supplied a TOEFL score ( more than IELTS band6) done in 2001.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Laxmi,

My university has also provided the letter like this.
I guess, this should work, becasue it is on the official letterhead of university, properly stamped and signed by the Registrar.

If you read the guidance notes, It states that following four points should be covered in the letter:

Name:
Degree obtained:
Date of award:
That the degree was taught in English.

My university has infact put a general comment that All courses run by the university in English Medium. And I am going ahead with it.....
I dont see any reason why it should not work for us.

Folks, any other view point to this?
