Immigation changes from the 9th

Post by tunab2 » Tue Jul 03, 2012 10:47 am

Hi all,

I was wondering if the new changes coming in force the 9th of this month will have any sort of impact on a person (overstayer) applying for settlement through a child who is british by birth. I undestand that an application was possible through article 8 prior to these changes. Will that differ now?

Thank you!

Paragraphs 54-57 of this document may be relevant.

Just a quick update that i consulted a solicitor who advised me that my best option is Access tho Child and Private Life and we went ahead with Application.

Apllication sent : 7th July
Received: 9th July - HO DURHAM OFFICE 8:47AM
Payment taken : 3weeks later
Aknwledgement : 14th Sept

Now i have been waiting since.

We have applied for my child passport since which we have now received. In my application i only submitted a certified copy of my child BC.
Is that sufficient or do i need to send both docs now?

As i do not live with the mum and she has full control over wether she wants to send our daughters doc or not, will that affect my application in any way, even though my application is based on me being a father of a british child and I am actively involved in her life?

Kindest Regards!
