Query on earnings

Post by newbee2012 » Sun Jul 08, 2012 2:32 am

Hi I am due to apply for an extension soon. I have a query on my earnings. Can i show the salary earned in overtime? My total annual salary was £21000 and i have earned an extra £5000 in overtime. Can I show my total earnings as £26000. thanks

according to my knowledge you can show the total earning as 26000 as long as you got that earning in your bank account and your employer paid tax over it. you must have pay slips from your employer and bank transactions for that over time earnings. better to consult with some advisor as well.

NOTE: Please don't consider it as final advice , its just the information sharing on the basis of my knowledge.

Yes, so long as you have the necessary evidence to support the overtime earnings as these would form part of your taxable earnings for the year.

hi thanks for the replies. my overtime income is shown on my monthly pay slips. I have gone through policy guidance which states ukba will consider gross earnings for any 12 months in the last 15.
