dependent visa from india

one of my friend has to invite his family from india(wife,sons 11year and 16 year),he is on ILR,I want to know...

which form they have to fill (settlement)VAF2 OR VAF 10

which visa they will get
I mean for children under 18,direct ILR
OR same as wife spouse (latest RULE is 5 year)

Neither. If he has ILR he is not a migrant worker or PBS migrant. Visit or settlement are his only options. If he chooses visit, their very close ties to India and motivation to return there, will have to strongly evidenced.

It's better if he asks his own questions rather than relying on third-party hearsay from friends who also don't know.
