Expired passport question

Post by SgtBellPepper » Tue Jul 10, 2012 1:44 pm

Hi all,

Quick question regarding spouse's passport ahead of AN application.

Her passport expires in October, and we will be applying in the New Year.

Problem? We won't be travelling anywhere outside the UK.

Thanks.

There's no requirement to have a valid passport when applying for naturalisation.

Thanks Jambo.

I have noticed other people also mentioning providing documents to cover the period between the expiration date of the passport and the application date.

Correct?

Thanks.

PS Slightly hijacking my own thread. Did you read the question regarding my daugher in the other thread and come up with a confirmed answer? Thanks again.

This is correct. If you check the last page of the application form, you will see that a passport is used to prove residency. If it doesn't cover some periods, then other proof for those periods is required.
