Tier 1 (general) - Dependant visa applying from outside UK

Post by Sriviji23 » Thu Jul 12, 2012 3:01 pm

Hi, Can someone help me with the below queries urgently?

1. My Husband is currently working in Norway. He is on a work permit valid until December 2012. Can he apply for a Tier 1 dependant visa from Norway? If yes, do we need to get a 'No objection letter' from my husband's employer?

2. Verifying the UK home office site for documents required for dependant visa processing, they are not requesting for the payslips of the primary person (Visa holder). Should I keep my payslips to be on safer side? If yes, I was on unpaid holidays during April and May, so was not paid and I do not have a pay slip for those two months. Will this be a problem? Can I just keep the payslips from Jan, Feb, Mar and Jun 2012 payslips?

You have to submit two major documents
1) Marriage Certificate
2) Bank statement for maintenance of funds. For dependent visa it doesn't matter how you earned money, they need whether you will be able to support him or not.

Cheers!!

Thanks Gaurav. Since my husband is working and residing their on a workpermit in Norway (he is holding a Indian passport), will it be a problem while applying for dependant visa. in other words, while he is employed can he apply for a dependant visa? does he need to keep any other supporting documents?

Thanks. im residing in UK for more than 12 months and have 600 pounds availble (dormant) in my account for last three months. Is this the correct amount?

3) Can you confirm the list of documents I (Primary visa holder) should provide for this application?
4) Does my husband need to keep any documentation from his side while applying? such as payslips?
5) Is there any risk in applying the dependant visa from Norway? should we apply for it from India to be on safer side? (sorry, Im just being nervous)

Rules are same. No matter where you apply. As long as you prove that you guys are in genuine relationship that would be fine.

Hi, I have made a successfull online application and we will be producing the documents next week. I have prepared all the documentation. Should I keep my tenancy agreement mandatorily? or any utility bill should be fine?
