Hello guys,
Please, an issue has been brought to my attention and I'm coming here with the hope I could be advised on his behalf.
Just found out a boy I know has an issue with his immigration status. He is currently 18 years of age. He got to the UK at the age of 9 - 10 years of age, on a visit visa it would seem, so overstayed.. I've been told he has asked for the service of a solicitor, to help regularise his immigration status.
Now, don't know on what basis he was refused or from what "angle" the solicitor made his application from (I've requested for these details). He lives with his aunt, who I figure is his guardian.
Question is, what step should be taken here? A good kid he is. I'm thinking the guardian didn't go about his whole application the right way; timing etc. Although, got told the application was made before he turned 18.
I know it would be a good idea to know on what basis he was refused, don't know about that now, but will. Based on all I know now and I've written, what could be done?
Any/All advise is/are welcome.
Cheers.
