Tier1(General) Visa Extension: Online slots not available

Post by Shahidone » Sun Jul 15, 2012 11:58 am

Hello Forum mates,

I have my visa extension this October 2012. I have been trying to book a online slot for Premium service since 2 months, giving my full attempts in day and night but no success. I have gone through some posts in this forum, few folks already experienced this issue and excited how could they finally have gone for extension.

Please share your experiences how to book online slot. If I cannot able to book online slots, guide me whom I should reach who can help me in booking slots? How much they charge just for slot?

Best Regards,
Shahid.

Login just befor mid-night and select the options of Tier 1 general and stay on the page with asks for dates and your choice for a centre. Select only the centres you are interested to go to for appointment (3 only). DO NOT select the dates. When the clock strikes exactly 00:00, wait for 10-15 seconds and then hit 'Next'. You should be able to see the centres available. If this does not work the first day, try it the following. I have not known anyone who did this and did not get an appointment. All the tricks are thanks to this forum
Good Luck

If we dont provide dates, wouldn't it error out. I tried last night the trick, but with dates though. It always resulted in Technical Error. Dont know if they broke something in the maintenance work this weekend.

Hello All,

That trick worked for me. Thanks silent_warrior. I was ready on the page with locations selected and NO DATE selected. Pressed Next exactly 7 secs after 00:00 on firefox, and the page kept loading for 2 mins and errored out. I panicked as the firefox wouldn't load. After 7 mins I tried on Google Chrome to see if it was a browser issue. Did the same, left the dates blank, but selected the locations. I was shown 3 timeslots in two different locations. Successfully booked.

Good luck guys.

Yes, I managed to get an appointment as well, thanks to the advice of silent_warrior (thankfully he isn't very silent ;)).

I do have a followup question, what is the official form required for the appointment? It's mentioned in the checklist and when you click continue you're supposed to be able to print it, however I do not get such option. I found this http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... l-form.pdf, is this the right one?
