Maintenance Fund - tier 1 extension

Post by tierone_extension » Sun Jul 15, 2012 8:18 pm

Dear all,
myself, wife and daughter are in UK on tier 1 Visa from last 1 year 4 months, and i need the help for the following queries
1. How much i need to maintain the fund in bank (If i am not wrong
900+600+600 = 2100 GBP) from last 90 days
2. I have some amount in Cash ISA, can i show it as maintenance?
3. Myself and wife are having joint account in another bank, can i show it as
mainteance fund (Since its a joint account, how much will be considered?)
4. To prove that we are in UK from last 1 year, passport stamp will consider
or need to keep the utility bills?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

1. Yes you need to show 900+600+600 = 2100 GBP) from last 90 days
2. Yes you can provided your ISA cash can be accessed for funds at any given time and is at least £2100 for 90 consecutive days
3.Yes, you can show joint account. Main applicant's name should clearly appear in the joint account
4. If you are showing previous earnings within the UK for the last 12 months along with bank statements; it is proof enough that you have been in the UK for more than 12 months. If not, then mention in a cover letter your date of arrival in the UK 1 year 4 months back (though I don't see it being necessary)
